Simon Willis, MD
Medical Director, Englewood Surgery Center
Simon Willis is a Washington, D.C. native joining New Health Services from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA where he completed his fellowship in Pain Management. Prior to fellowship, he completed his residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/National Rehabilitation Hospital in the nation’s capital. Through his training he has developed a strong focus on a multidisciplinary and interventional approach to treating both acute and chronic pain conditions. In addition to offering traditional PM&R services, such as ultrasound-guided peripheral joint and nerve injections as well as sports medicine therapies, he is also trained in traditional interventional pain techniques, including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator trial and permanent placements, as well in intrathecal placement of pain and baclofen pumps. Dr. Willis is a recognized professional in many national medical organizations and prides himself on being up-to-date and at the forefront of pain medicine. As such, he continually attends workshops and conferences to ensure that his patients get the most holistic treatment available. He is a distinguished and published author among the medical community with various publications in medical journals and books. Bringing in substantial experience and knowledge from both foreign and domestic educational institutions, Colorado is now home to Dr. Willis!
Vanessa M. Von Duerring, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Vanessa obtained her masters degree in physician assistant studies at AT Still University in Mesa, Arizona, graduating in 2013. She has worked in the specialty of pain management since this time, bringing ample clinical experience to New Health. She enjoys helping patients to improve their quality of life using a multi-modality approach and tailors the treatment plan to meet individual needs. She received her bachelors degree at the University of Colorado at Boulder and after living in Arizona for several years, she is happy to be back in Colorado.
Johnie L. Blum, MSN, FNP-BC
Family Nurse Practioner
Johnie L Blum, Family Nurse Practitioner, is a Phoenix, Arizona native. She was awarded with her Bachelors in Nursing from Grand Canyon University. As a Registered Nurse, she specialized in Neurology and Spinal Rehabilitation at Barrows Neurological Institute in Phoenix. Johnie soon pursued her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing and since has been practicing is both traditional and holistic pain management settings.
Osvaldo Cabral, MA, LPC, LAC
Director of Integrated Services
Osvaldo Cabral has worked in addiction and mental health since 2002 and joins New Health from Choice House in Boulder, Colorado, where he served as Director of Clinical Operations. Osvaldo’s areas of expertise include Addiction Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Skills Training, working with the chronically mentally ill and treating dually diagnosed clients. Additional areas of specialization include Aggression Replacement Training, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Focused Therapies. As director of integrated services, he coordinates the operations of New Health’s medical and behavioral health professionals to ensure continuity of care for New Health patients.
With the help of Osvaldo, New Health Services is now the first accredited State-Certified Intensive Outpatient Program within a pain treatment clinic in Colorado.
Vicky Buethe, BA, CAC II
Behavioral Health Therapist
Vicky Buethe has worked in the field of addictions since 2015 and has experience working with Spanish-speaking clients. She obtained her bachelor of arts degree in psychology and is currently working on her master’s degree in counseling psychology. Her expertise also includes working with dually diagnosed clients.
Libby Golias, MA, LPCC
Behavioral Health Therapist
Libby received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology from University of Denver in 2018. Libby has experience working with adolescent and adult clients on a variety of issues, including trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and relationships. Libby values the therapeutic relationship, and uses person-centered, psychodynamic and mindfulness approaches to create a non-judgmental space for clients to heal and achieve their goals.
Douglas W. Jetter, AART, BLS
Imaging Manager
Behind every successful treatment is accurate information provided by skilled and experienced technologists. Douglas W. Jetter has 14 years of experience in interventional radiology, searching for answers for patients through the artful use of x-rays, ultrasounds, CT scans and MRIs. Douglas came to Colorado in 2015 from the state of New York, where he had been practicing as a technologist since 2003. Douglas has his associate’s degree in radiologic technology from Niagara County Community College in New York. He has been credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) since 1998 and is a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT).
